Each year since 2004 Julia Jones has searched for talented British bands and taken them with her on a cross America tour in 'The Duchess' the pimped-out British double-decker bus. The aim is to give young talented UK acts the trip of a lifetime with a boost to their career and also to help raise awareness of new British music in the USA.
UK acts who have boarded The BritBus Tour include Halflight (2004), Ellie Lawson, Sylvie Lewis and Fono (2005), Seamus McLoughlin and XUK (2006), The Crave and Jyrojets (2007). Famous acts have also dropped in to say hello including The Magic Numbers, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Oakenfold, The Feeling, The Duke Spirit, Brakes and The Automatic.
